Happy Anniversary, Maddie!

It is our fabulous Communications Manager’s one-year anniversary at Communiqué! Maddie radiates love and kindness wherever she goes, and we’re so fortunate that we have her on our team. She is skilled, organized, positive, and thoughtful. She plans for birthdays months in advance and she’s always quick to give a compliment…or two or three. She has a quirky side, which can easily be proven by her love for General Hospital or latest workout regimen – hula hooping. Maddie is a good listener, a good colleague and a good friend.

Not only has Maddie been working full-time at Communiqué and excelling at every project and task that’s come her way, but she’s simultaneously been pursuing a graduate degree at S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. While her passion is public relations, her capabilities also include project management, graphic design and managing social media. She enjoys relationship building with clients and approaching situations positively in order to develop marketing solutions. We can’t wait to see what she achieves in the coming years!

Take a look at a Q & A between Maddie and Adrianne:

Q: It’s your one year anniversary at Communiqué….how does it feel?

A: It’s a bit unbelievable that a year has already passed, but I am really happy and fulfilled. A year ago, I was nervous on my first day at Communique and now it’s nice to look back at everything that has been accomplished with our fabulous team.

Q: What’re some of the most important things you’ve learned over the past year (either about yourself or the marketing world)?

A: I think one of the most important things I’ve learned this year is the value of being a part of an amazing team. Each of us brings a unique skillset and past experiences that shape our approaches to situations and help us create the best possible solutions and products for our clients.

Q: What’re some of your favorite Communiqué team memories?

A: When Adrianne and I spent a whole day decorating ITH for Christmas! It was literally a dream come true!

Q: Looking back, do you see any significant changes in the marketing landscape over the past year?

A: I know COVID-19 is the topic of every conversation right now, but I really do think it will have a significant impact on the field of marketing for years to come. It will be interesting to see the ways in which the industry evolves and adapts to meet the changing societal and consumer needs.

Q: What were you wearing on your first day?

A: I was wearing my maroon pants, white peasant top, brown flats and I curled my hair 🙂

Q: How did you balance working full time at Communiqué AND pursuing your master’s degree?

A: By staying hydrated; that’s really important.

Q: Describe what Communiqué means to you in 17 words or less

A: Communique is a family. We depend on each other and I am always learning from our team.

Q: What would your theme song be for this past year?

A: My theme song would be from the film Legally Blonde because it is my absolute favorite movie and whenever I listen to this song, it just really puts me in a productive mindset.

Q: If we could break quarantine and do one thing as a team…what would it be? (you can name a few things)

A: Easy. We would get sushi at Capital State Kitchen, then split some donuts at One Ring Donuts, and finish with a quick walk around TJ Maxx (we have very efficient lunch hours 😉 )
