Coltivare Restaurant and Events Center

In 2012 Tompkins Cortland Community College, (TC3) had a vision to add a Culinary Arts Educational Program, Restaurant and Events Center to their Hospitality curriculum.  In August 2013, their vision began to take shape, and TC3 submitted a grant to the Regional Economic Development Councils for 2.7 million dollars.

The grant required a brand, positioning, and a feasibility study to provide integrity behind the project and measure the growth in workforce; providing over 100 jobs in the Tompkins County market. Communiqué D & M Inc. worked with TC3, providing research, brand strategy, and a mission for what now is called Coltivare Farm to Bistro Culinary Arts Program. The grant was awarded in Fall of 2013 and Communiqué helped develop the marketing strategy and worked with the Architect Andy Ramsgard to brand the interior and exterior of the building with the stylized logo that was developed by Communiqué. Through a comprehensive marketing program and public relations strategy, (that garnered over $150,000 in free PR) the project successfully opened its doors in Fall of 2014.
